After that poll went up Ubisoft seemed to go silent on the matter, later releasing Far Cry Primal to a very “meh” reception. Amongst those choices (my personal favourite being “A Far Cry game set in a Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic world”) was “A Far Cry game in the Spaghetti Western style set in the 19th century Americas”. In early 2015, Ubisoft released a poll for players to vote on where they’d like to see the Far Cry series go.
